Church & Civil Ceremonies
Armathwaite Hall Country House Hotel & Spa features three approved rooms for ceremonies each individual in design and offering flexibility of numbers from intimate to large gatherings, from 4 guests to 150 guests. The Hall was amongst the first premises to become licensed in Cumbria to hold Civil Ceremonies and since this time has hosted several hundred such events. Civil Ceremonies allow couples to marry in this beautiful stately home. The grandeur of the Lake Room and the contemporary style of the Lime Trees Suite are the most popular choices both offering glorious views and garden terraces ideal for drinks receptions. The Lake Room accommodates up to 80 guests whilst the Lime Trees seats up to 150 guests.
The Estate Office with beautiful lake views is ideal for more intimate ceremonies up to 20 guests. Should you require a private ceremony just for yourselves our duty managers would be happy to act as witnesses.
If you are planning a church ceremony the Minister will advise you of legal requirements for publishing banns of the marriage. Our lovely St. Begas Church is situated on the lakeshore ten minutes drive from the Hall. www.stbega.org.uk.
Room hire charges vary from £350 to £695 dependant upon room.
